Piano and Specialty Moving done properly
An upright piano is around 400 to 800 lbs with all its weight high and unevenly distributed, which is exactly why it goes wrong for crews who do not move them often. Ours go on a piano board with four movers and straps, and there is a $200 surcharge that we tell you about on the quote call, not on move day.
Grand pianos we decline. They need legs removed, a purpose-built skid and a specialist crew, and we would rather say so on the first call than take the booking and improvise with your instrument on a staircase.
Antiques are wrapped and blocked in the truck rather than simply padded, so nothing shifts against them on the drive. Mirrors and glass table tops are crated on site. Aquariums travel drained, and plants go last so they are not sitting in a hot truck.

The hourly crew rate plus a $200 piano surcharge. Stairs may mean a larger crew, which we confirm on the quote call.
Can you crate a mirror or a glass table top?
Yes, on site. Glass does not survive blankets alone — a corner impact is enough — so anything large and flat gets a crate.
